Dr. Stacey Shanklin, Founder IgnitEd Future Ready
Dr. Stacey Shanklin is an educator, instructional leader, author, and passionate advocate for future-ready learning and Career and Technical Education - on a mission to bridge the gap between education and the future of work.
HER STORY
Dr. Stacey Shanklin is an educator, instructional leader, author, and passionate advocate for future-ready learning and Career and Technical Education (CTE). With a doctorate in Education from Capella University and more than 20 years of experience spanning K-12, higher education, and private EdTech environments, Stacey founded IgnitEd Future Ready to inspire, inform, and empower students, families, educators, and community partners.
Her work focuses on bridging the gap between education and the future of work - helping schools and communities create meaningful, student-centered opportunities that prepare learners for success in college, careers, and life. Stacey currently serves as a CTE Academic Coach with Bay District Schools, bringing practitioner-level insight to everything she creates and shares through IgnitEd.
In addition to her leadership and coaching work, Stacey is the author of the Future Explorers Club children’s book series - career-themed stories designed to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and introduce young learners to future possibilities through engaging storytelling and STEM-connected learning experiences. Through speaking, coaching, content creation, authorship, and advocacy, she is committed to helping others reimagine what is possible for the next generation.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Cross-sector experience that shapes everything
Prior to founding IgnitEd, Dr. Shanklin held instructional design and curriculum leadership roles at VHS Learning, the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), and Freedom Learning Group - giving her a rare cross-sector perspective that spans classroom teaching, large-scale curriculum management, and EdTech innovation.
She holds additional credentials in instructional design and currently serves students and educators full-time through Bay District Schools in Panama City, Florida. This practitioner foundation is what separates IgnitEd from theory-only platforms: every resource, framework, and conversation is grounded in real-world CTE leadership experience.
